My name is Mia. I was rescued by a Furry Friends Network volunteer along with my six kittens on August 15, 2018. I was very young to have kittens. I was struggling to take care of my family and myself. It was hard trying to feed six kids while living outside in the heat of the summer. It took months until I was comfortable with my foster family and their kitties but now I enjoy watching squirrels and birds outside from a cat perch. I am still frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. It is best if you allow me to come to you to be petted. I get nervous if you try to pick me up (I prefer to keep my feet on solid ground). Given time I may lay beside you on your bed, but enjoy sleeping on a window perch at night. I am very curious and like to watch what is going on from a distance. My favorite things to play with are little fabric mice and cat wands with strings or feathers on them.
This kitty has had vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been microchipped and altered (or will be microchipped and altered prior to adoption).
Adoption fee is 1/2 off for the second kitty adopted at same time. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax).
If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / ADOPT tab / CAT Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.
