Approx DOB: Summer 2018
Emmy is a petite DSH tuxedo kitty. She would do best in a quiet home as an only cat or with a similar-sized male kitten. She had a difficult start in her life and she is still a bit skittish. She is independent but will greet you lovingly in the AM and may allow you to pick her up.
Emmy does not like to be held for long and will let you know when she wants down. She loves to scratch on horizontal scratch pads, so her foster family keeps plenty of them nearby. They have not seen her use the vertical scratching post.
Emmy loves to play fetch with her mouse toy, get scratches under her chin and behind her ears, sit in the window, and curl up to snooze in cozy places. She is great at using her cat box. She allows her foster mom to brush her and even allows her to pet her belly! She has never tried to scratch anyone even if she did not want to be held.
This kitty has had vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been microchipped and altered (or will be microchipped and altered prior to adoption).
Adoption fee is 1/2 off for the second kitty adopted at same time. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax).
If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / ADOPT tab / CAT Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.
