Race For Their Lives 2007

On your mark…Get ready…Get set…GO!

It’s a Race for their Lives, and you can be part of the winning team! Furry Friends Network’s (FFN) Race for their Lives will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Gifford Pinchot State Park Conewago Day Use Area and includes a 5K run and 2-mile fun walk for individuals and teams.

FFN’s Race for their Lives is an event for anyone interested in a little healthy competition, with or without their canine best friend. Humans and their neutered and vaccinated canine best friends are welcome! Registration begins @ 8:00 a.m. and Race @ 9:00 a.m. Registration fee is $25.00 but waived if participant raises pledges in the amount of $100.00. There will be food, fun and prizes – for top fund raisers, race and walk team winners, individual race and walk winners by age categories, door prizes – plus a race packet filled with goodies and a T-shirt for all participants. Pledges will be collected on the day of the race.

FFN’s Race for their Lives raises awareness of the plight of homeless and unwanted animals – and raises desperately needed funds for spay/neuter surgeries and general veterinary care for animals in need. Your support means more care for more animals.

Why should you join the race? Because of animals like Clay and Jordan. Clay and Jordan have been in the FFN foster program for more than two years, each patiently waiting for that special family to adopt them. Matching the unique personalities of various animals in need with the characteristics of an appropriate adoptive home can be a difficult task. Even so, each animal brought under the care of FFN is guaranteed a lifetime commitment for a safe and happy life. And, as with the more than 1,800 happy endings made possible by FFN and its volunteers, Clay and Jordan continue to look forward to their own “forever” loving homes!

Your support of FFN’s Race for their Lives will make a significant difference in the lives of animals like Clay and Jordan and will help fund spay/neuter surgeries to break the cycle of homeless cat colonies in our area. A local nonprofit, all-volunteer, all-breed animal rescue organization founded in 2001, FFN is a 501(c)3 charitable organization depending on individual and corporate contributions to accomplish our mission – to save lives, one animal at a time.

Please join us on 22 September! Additional details can be found on our RFTL 2007 Poster. Help spread the word by downloading and posting our RFTL 2007 Poster in your office.
