As promised, Strikes for Strays 2010 delivered a great afternoon of bowling, fun, food and prizes. In return, Furry Friends Network was the recipient of $10,193.70 to continue helping animals in need.
Strikes for Stray's success is attributable to the common love of animals held by our generous participants, sponsors and volunteers!
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PARTICIPANTS, VOLUNTEERS, and OUR SPONSORS.
Please remember to patronize the businesses and establishments who care enough to help the furry kids!
The proceeds from the November Silent Auction at The Rolling Bead in Carlisle exceeded $1,000! Many thanks to Pat and Harley for their hard work raising money to help Furry Friends Network! Visit Pat and Harley at The Rolling Bead, 200 S. Spring Garden Street, Carlisle.

Pat Reynolds and Harley
Furry Friends Network would like to thank our friends at Carlisle Events for their kindness and generosity this holiday season!
A Christmas tree was set up with pictures of animals needing homes. Each picture had a wish list attached and donors brought in loads of donations for the animals.
Many blessings to the employees at Carlisle Events!

Two wonderful youngsters wanted to help animals in need...
Kason Ward, age 6, dedicated his October birthday party to Furry Friends Network. Kason's 14 friends brought cat and dog food, toys and treats in lieu of birthday gifts. Kason attends kindergarten in the Carlisle area, and we're hoping this is just the start of a life time of loving and taking care of the fur kids!
Kason met many of our adoptable pets at a recent Carlisle PetSmart Adoption Day.

A portion of Keegan McCoy's allowance is always set aside for charity, and Furry Friends Network was fortunate to receive his recent charity donation. Keegan joined up with PetSmart Charities and presented his allowance donation to Furry Friends Network at the recent PetSmart Charities National Holiday Adoption Weekend. Thank you, Keegan!

Mutt Mixer 2009 Update
On October 10, 2009, we raised $4,000 and enjoyed the company of more than 200 people and 100 dogs at our 5th Annual Mutt Mixer and Flea Market with Low Cost Vaccine and Microchip Clinic. A special thank you goes out to all our supporters, vendors, and participants. See you next year!

Local Girl Scout Supports Homeless Animals

When Kayla thought about her Girl Scout Community Service project, her decision to help the four legged fur kids was easy! Kayla Taylor from local Girl Scout Troup 1952 loves animals. So she focused her Community Service project on animals and gathered a huge box of goodies for the homeless dogs and cats in our area too. Furry Friends Network was fortunate to be the recipient of her hard work. Thank you Kayla for the all the dog food, cat food, toys and treats. They will be put to good use and sent to the animals in our foster care program.
BOILING SPRINGS -- While braving cloudy skies and a little light rain, Furry Friends Network's first ever Easter Egg Hunt for Kids (young and old) and for Dogs, brought lots of smiles and a fun day for two- and four-legged participants, $342 for the FFN Hope Fund and lots of FFN Wish List donations. Many thanks to our favorite sponsor Rite Aid, loyal FFN friends, supporters and adopters, and of course our volunteers that made it all happen! A special thanks to our Easter Bunny too! We'll see you all again next year! |
|
| LANCASTER -- Thanks to everyone who made our Lancaster Easter Egg Hunt a big success! You helped raise over $600.00 for Furry Friends Network and the animals in our care. What a blast -- about 80 dogs and 100 children! We're looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2010 as well as at the October 2009 5th Annual Mutt Mixer. Thank you for your support! (15% of the egg hunt photo purchases goes to FFN) |

Furry
Friends Network supporters and volunteers gathered
at the Trindle Bowl on Sunday, February 22 for
our annual Strikes for Strays bowlathon. All enjoyed
an afternoon of good food and good fun and raised
approximately $10,000 for the fur kids under our
care.
We
feel very fortunate to have so many animal-loving
supporters to allow us to continue our life saving
mission. We could not continue without your help!
Many
thanks to all our participants who joined the fun
and raised the cash for our 4-legged charges; and
to our marvelous volunteers who contributed prizes,
baked goods, baskets and their time and made a
great day for all. An additional special thank
you to our Phi Beta Lambda HACC volunteers who
made set up and clean up a snap! Of course, many
thanks to our sponsors!
We
are very happy to report that our Strikes for Strays
2009 poster boys, Bart
and Kip, found a wonderful home in January.
These brothers were adopted through FFN by a wonderful
family in 2004, but lost their happy home, were
returned to the foster care program and then remained
under our care for over a year before recently
finding their new "fur-ever" adoptive
home! See
how well Bart and Kip are doing with their new
fur-ever family!
